Jun 4, 2023 · My family's got a 400gal pond with pacu (given to us from a friend, because they're obviously massive.) There used to be at least 15 in there but many have died, and I speculate there are only 7-6 left. The largest ones are only a foot long, but I am aware at how large they grow. Soon, I will have to remove the pacu from the pond.

Only this time, you know you'll need a larger tank. Or, I hope you do find someone to work out something with you. The tank and fish do look nice, you obviously do care for it.

Feb 28, 2006 · ive kept a few pacu, and honetly have worried about this many times over. even with 1/2" on my 250g, im worried about my 10 or 18" breaking the glass. altho in reality, i think its MUCH more likely these guys will burst a seam rather than full out break the glass on a larger tank*knock on wood*. --1100g--22" Red Belly Pacu.

Nov 20, 2006 · ck get over 4ft but take many years to do so. usually hit around 2ft within 2 years or so. aro's hit 2ft within 2 years, pacu's jus keep growing. it can be down if ur tank is large enough and ur filtration can handle it but damn, pacu's are weird crazy fish. i have gars with my aros, no problems there.
