Oct 14, 2006 · Get yourself some 18G doorbell wire (roughly .040" O.D),strip a couple inches of insulation off,feed this up through one of the holes you drilled beside your rail,loop it over and feed it back through the other hole,twist together on the bottom side of the track,carefully grind the looped over wire flush with the rail.

I've noticed for quite a while that some lanes seem more "alive" than others, so I'm thinking that although the power packs should be the same, they are not. So, I'm thinking about wiring the four of them ...

Like Ralph said, you will need 2 in order to complete the electrical circuit. If you just use one it won't work properly and could cause some electrical problems.

Jun 12, 2012 · this is a SIMPLE three wire system. you CAN use two wire extension cord type wire to segregate each lane to having its individual neg COMMON to the power taps along with the controller station wire to the power taps. john peckham uses a jumper cable to control both lanes on his drag strip. Very easy.

My next step is educating myself and comparing the different timing systems. Can somebody give me some insight on this matter ( I really didn't want to spend a bunch of money since the strip will run me around $500 - $600).
