Oct 24, 2011 · The wild birds have been selected for the diet available and predator avoidance for a long time. It doesn't take too much influence from domesticated crossing to damage these traits. There are excellent examples of this documented for a number of fish species. We also wouldn't want to introduce any domestic diseases to wild flocks. Just my 2 cents.

The stick should be used as an extension of the arm to direct the turkey what direction to move in. I place the bird on the other side outside the bag and spray Ether (Starting Fluid) into the bag through the hole. The Ether puts them to sleep painlessly and the prolonged over exposure to the fumes finishes the job.

Apr 4, 2010 · This is even lower than Alton Brown recomends(151) that some people have a fit about. The turkey does reach 161 after sitting 15 minutes. I have also read cooking it slowly, at lower temperatures and with more moisture. To me that is not roast turkey. I personaly hate a turkey that has been steamed in any way.

My last breeding tom grew a nice 10" beard and I actually saw the hens "grooming" his beard until it was down to approximately 1 1/2".
