I read on the Peles Castle's website that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which are the days I wished to visit. Can one still walk around the grounds even though they are closed?

Yes, you can! All the surroundings are open to the public and it's a nice walk from downtown Sinaia to the Castle!

I don’t know about their current calendar. Check the internet for times they are open. Unfamiliar with Prelisor. Check with the net on distances between two locations.
Hi Is it easy enough to distinguish the two different entrances? Romanian's entrance vs tourist entrance? I might take you up on this suggestion of going to the other line. It sounds like a tour is not necessarily required. Or are the lines for tours in a specific language? With it being so crowded with guides speaking many different languages at the same time, it seems pretty chaotic and like it would be worth just going in solo.
